The Capital Development Authority (CDA) wants dedicated counters at all police stations of Islamabad to help the civic agency in carrying out its anti-encroachment drive efficiently.

The CDA Enforcement Department has written a letter to the Islamabad Chief Commissioner and IG Islamabad Police suggesting that dedicated CDA counters should be set up at all 22 police stations, as the civic agency staff has to face stiff resistance whenever it undertakes an anti-encroachment operation.

The letter has drawn the attention of the city administration and the police towards the pressure being exerted by land mafia and other influences during the campaigns.

The letter recommended that an assistant sub-inspector should be made focal person of each counter so that the CDA management could contact him before launching any operation.
