Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Mumtaz Ali Bhutto said on Monday that it is not an astonishing thing that the PPP leadership has now realised no single party can look after the country and only through reconciliation, it can be run.
In a statement issued here, Bhutto said that the fundamental principle of democracy was that only those people should run the country who have the people’s mandate and those who have been rejected should not be included in the government as their inclusion would be undemocratic.
Bhutto said that “PPP leaders are constantly complaining why accountability is not being held in Punjab which means their looting in Sindh should continue on a large scale”, adding that they had nothing to do if accountability of others was carried out.
The PML-N leader further said that “in fact there has been no accountability since the past eight years due to which massive looting took place in Sindh. The whole province has been ruined and life of the people has become a hell which should be thoroughly probed”.
Bhutto also said that it was a matter of shame for the Sindh government that the court had taken action against the (former) Sindh IGP.
