Militant group on the prowl in City under Rangers radar

A militant group has been trying to promote terrorist activities in the metropolis and persuading certain people to carry out anti-social activities, said a statement issued by the Sindh Rangers here the other day.

The statement said that certain people contacted the Rangers and identified such activities on part of those miscreants. “Cracker attacks on Rangers checkposts Sunday morning and misleading allegations hurled against Rangers were part of such machinations,” the paramilitary force added.

The statement said the Rangers had taken a strict notice of such activities and those who were trying to persuade others for anti-social activities would be arrested soon.

It also detailed that those cooperating with law enforcement agencies (LEAs) would be provided full protection.

The Rangers meanwhile appealed to the people not to be misled by such elements and inform at Rangers helpline 1101 through SMS or call about them.
