A teenage girl was gang-raped and later poisoned by a group of men in a village in Muzaffarabad on Monday.

“Six men kidnapped the 18-year-old survivor and took her to a deserted area in Rawani, where they subjected her to gang rape,” said Station House Officer (SHO) City Police Station Pervez Hameed.

Later, the attackers poisoned the girl and abandoned her, thinking they had been successful in their attempt to kill the victim.

The residents discovered her in an unconscious state. Her parents then brought the survivor to Combined Military Hospital Muzaffarabad.

After spending three days at the hospital, the rape survivor gained consciousness to describe the ordeal, and action was taken to arrest the five rapists, the SHO said.

According to police, the survivor works in a boutique. Cases were registered against the five suspects arrested by the city police on the charge of rape, attempted murder and poisoning. The men are in remand into police custody until March 23.

Earlier in January this year, a group of men gang-raped a teenage girl after kidnapping and drugging her in a Lahore guest house.

  1. These animals should not receive death. They should have their gentiles cut off on live TV and let the whole nation receive a living warning that enough is enough and that this action cannot and should not be tolerated anymore. I'm so furious that, not one but MANY came together to commit this. They should be in an outdoor prison so people can see them in a hanging cage until their body rots away. I have daughters of my own and I cannot imagine the pain their family must be going though. A democracy in Pakistan is pointless if the politicians all talk and do nothing and the people themselves cannot speak loud enough about such severe problems in the mental state of its people.

In anyone has an update to this, please post. I want to know what your judicial system handled this case.
