Spokesman of the Pakistan Educational Institutions Regulatory Authority (PEIRA) Qaiser Majeed Malik has said that there will be no increase in the fee of private institution without approval by the concerned authorities.

Talking to APP he said that Chairman PEIRA will hold a meeting soon with the members of the private schools association to decide the issue of fee increment as private schools of the federal capital have decided to raise the annual fees of their students.

Secretary Information Private Schools Association Islamabad (PSAI) Abdul Waheed Khan told APP that hikes in fees of the students at private educational institutions was necessary to meet needs.

He said that PEIRA has raised the registration fees of the private schools from 20,000 to 50,000 annually so they will have to raise the fees to bear expenses.

He demanded of the government that the federal private schools should be controlled by Federal Directorate of Education (FDE) rather than Private Educational Institutions Regulatory Authority (PEIRA).

“Private schools were paying a substantial amount to PEIRA after every two years and now that amount has been raised by another 50 percent to be paid every year, which is a total injustice,” he said.

Only few schools can afford these hefty charges by PEIRA for other it’s difficult to pay them without increment in fees, he added.

He also added that the house rents increase by 10 percent every year which pushes the schools to further increase fees to meet additional costs.

  2. And when I go around and talk to schools, what I tell the kids are, first of all, you have to accept each other's differences. Some of you are going to be a crappy football player, some of you are going to be a great procustomwriting.com mathematician. Whatever it is, accept each other's differences and help prop each other up.
