Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan on Sunday alleged that the Sharif brothers promoted politics of horse-trading in the country and that political leaders had put themselves up for sale.

“Whoever pays the highest amount can acquire their services and loyalties,” said Khan in his address to a public rally in Jalalpur Pirwala area in connection with NA-153 by-election campaign.

Khan said that the ruling party has bought Rana Qasim Noon, adding that leaders who are for sale cannot serve the people and that the PTI would beat them all in the NA-153 by-elections.

He said that political forces, instead of trying to acquire votes on the basis of their performances, were looking for turncoats to secure success in the by-election, which was not a good trend and against the democratic norms.

The PTI chief urged the people of the constituency to elect his party’s candidate in the by-election scheduled for March 17, and said that the PTI was the only party that felt the grievances of the masses and was making all-out efforts to resolve the problems faced by the people.

He lashed out at the government for turning a deaf ear towards the problems faced by farmers and said that the government’s policies had destroyed the agriculture sector and that growers were suffering due to lack of interest of the authorities concerned.Imran said that Rs 80 billion were being spent on 17 km track of metro-bus project and that if the said amount was spent for welfare of people, of their problems could be resolved.

He said that the people of NA-153 were not alone in the election as PTI stood firm with them.

  1. The entire rule of Sharif Brothers show us the shallow outlook of a muk-maka saz-baz schemers behind closed doors and unable to look beyond personal advantages. Pakistan will continue to suffer under these selfish and incompetent rulers who are unable to look beyond themselves
