Two Rangers checkposts attacked in Karachi

Two Rangers checkposts were targeted by unidentified attackers in Karachi on Sunday morning. Fortunately, no causality was reported.

Police officials said unidentified attackers threw a hand grenade at a checkpost near Gulshan Chowrangi and fled from the scene. Three minutes another Rangers checkpoint was targeted in Essa Nagri area, they added.

The officials said the attackers came on bikes and fled fter committing the crime.

A team of Rangers officials cordoned off the areas to conduct search operations.

Officials of the Bomb Disposal Squad said 500 grammes of home-made explosive material was used in the improvised devices.

SP Gulshan Iqbal Fahad said a case had been registered against the unidentified attackers and investigation was underway.

  1. Cornered, the criminals of Karachi are using all dirty tricks to scare the Rangers but will not succeed. They can not burn the factories, can not collect Bhatta in billions, can not come on the streets to snatch purse of ladies or mobile phones. Frustrated, they have come down to cowardly tactics.
