Punjab govt’s development projects to continue: Shehbaz Sharif

Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif chaired a high level meeting which reviewed the pace of implementation of public welfare projects in the province.

The chief minister said it was government’s mission to serve the public selflessly adding that work is being carried out expeditiously on various welfare projects in the province. He said that Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz government has promoted the culture of transparency and speedy completion of development projects. The transparent policy of the government is being acknowledged by local and international institutions, he said.

Shehbaz Sharif said that Punjab government was following the policy of balanced development of rural and urban areas. He said that a big project of repair and rehabilitation of rural roads is being implemented which will greatly benefit the rural economy.

Shehbaz Sharif said that the ‘Pakkiyan Sarkan Saukhay Painday’ programme is a game changer for rural population adding that government is working on projects for improvement of education and health facilities and supply of potable water with a cost of billions of rupees and quality is being ensured in the execution of all projects.

He said there will be no shortage of resources for provision of best education and health facilities as well as supply of clean drinking water to the citizens during next two and a half years adding that the journey of selfless service to the masses will continue under the leadership of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif. The meeting was attended by Members National Assembly Pervaiz Malik, Hamza Shehbaz Sharif, Parliamentary Secretary on Health Kh. Imran Nazir, commissioner Lahore division and senior officials.
