More than 100 suspected people, including eight Afghan nationals, were taken into custody by law enforcement agencies during door to door search operations in different areas of the provincial capital on Sunday.
According to police sources, the joint operations were conducted by police and security forces in Hayatabad and Faqirabad areas of Peshawar.
During the operation at least 150 houses were searched. Female police personnel also took part in the operations, police said and added that four pistols and hundreds of bullets were recovered from possession of some of the arrested suspects. The detainees were shifted to police stations for interrogation.
