Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Sunday paid a glowing tribute to the party leader and former MPA Shaheed Abdullah Murad on his 12th martyrdom anniversary being observed in Malir today (Monday).

In a message on the occasion, Bilawal said that Abdullah Murad was a brave Jiyala who struggled for democracy through his whole life and ultimately sacrificed his life. Abdullah Murad remained in the forefront of the movements launched by the PPP for restoration of democracy and people’s rights and never looked back despite receiving threats from the terrorists and armed gangs, he added.

The PPP chairman said that from Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto to Shaheed Abdullah Murad, the party leadership and workers had always been sacrificing their blood and sweat for the country, restoration of democracy and usurped rights of the people. Bilawal further said that PPP leadership and workers had never forgotten their martyred colleagues.

  1. Some 'uncles' always avails an opportunity to issue a statement on his behalf. He still was learning Urdu from his tutor, Shaila Raza and did not even know where Malir was 12 years hence.
