The Regional Transport Authority (RTA) Rawalpindi has issued a notification regarding reduction of transport fares on 24 urban routes following a decrease in petroleum product prices.
The new fares will be implemented from March 3. The fares have been slashed between Rs1 to Rs3 on 14 Suzuki van and 10 wagon routes.
The new fare has been fixed at Rs11 on a distance between one to four kilometres, Rs13 on four to eight kilometres, Rs15 on 8 to 14 kilometres and maximum fare has been fixed at Rs26.
The new transport fare list has been distributed among transporters.
