Former interior minister and central leader of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Rehman Malik has rejected the allegations of former mayor of Karachi Mustafa Kamal, terming them “baseless” and “concocted”.

Reacting to the accusations levelled by Kamal, Malik said that it was not his duty to dictate the declaration of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement.

He said his meetings with the MQM chief were in connection with strengthening the allied governments in Centre and Sindh province, adding that either Governor Ishratul Ebad or senior MQM leader Farooq Sattar was part of those meetings.

Malik further said that being the interior minister, Altaf Hussain had never his support for ‘criminal’ workers. “I only represented my party, PPP, in meetings with MQM chief Altaf Hussain,” he added.

  1. There is little difference in the character of Malik and Altaf. But I believe Mr Kamal.

  2. Rehman Malik, the fake Doctor, is one of the biggest lier this country knows. He says eating apple when eating banana – said Dr Zulfiqar Mirza – also of PPP. He himself stands exposed. He was Incharge of Security of BB's procession when she was killed (or got killed) and he was the first one to disappear from the scene.
