The city transporters have announced to decrease 5 per cent fares of public transport fares on Wednesday.
According to sources, new fares of air-conditioned buses have been fixed at Rs 1.18 per kilometer, fares of taxi at Rs 9.12 per kilometer while the fares of auto rickshaws have been fixed at Rs 7.48 per kilometer. The inter-city buses have also reduced their fares by 5 per cent. However, the fares of Karachi school vans are yet to be reduced.
