Conservation of cultural heritage among top priorities: Khattak

Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Pervez Khattak has ordered chalking out of a comprehensive plan for preservation and rehabilitation of cultural heritage of the province as they were among the top priorities of the provincial government.

He said this while presiding over a high level meeting convened to discuss steps for preservation of the cultured heritage of the provincial metropolis.

Special Assistant to CM for Information, Mushtaq Ahmad Ghani, MPA Shaukat Yousafzai, District Nazim Arbab Muhammad Asim and Chairman Institute of Architects, attended the meeting.

The CM told the meeting that government was serious about conservation and rehabilitation of the cultural heritage. He asked for devising short, medium and long term planning within two weeks. He wowed that the provincial government was serious in restoration past grandeurs of Peshawar. He also stressed the need of efficient utilization of the available resources for the purpose.
