Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif said on Tuesday that terrorists would be eliminated from every nook and corner of the country.

Talking to London School of Economics (LSE) Director and Political Science Professor Craig Calhoun, Sharif said the country was treading on the right path to ensure a bright future.

He said Pakistan’s economy was now stable and it was further growing because of the consolidated efforts of the economic team.

The premier said Pakistan was proactively reaching out to its neighbours in the region for ensuring regional peace and stability.

The LSE director appreciated the overall improvement in Pakistan’s security situation, and said the improved security environment and positive economic indicators had contributed towards building a positive image of Pakistan. The director appreciated the leadership role of PM Sharif in steering the country out of crises.

Calhoun also told the premier that in recognition of the achievements of the founding father of Pakistan, a proposal to establish Jinnah Chair in London School of Economics was being considered. Calhoun also discussed in detail the possibilities of students’ exchange programmes with PM Sharif.
