The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) has secured majority seats in the district council wards in the recently-held local government by-elections in Khyber Pakthunkhwa.
According to the Provincial Election Commission (PEC), the PML-N has clinched three seats in the total eight district council wards LG by-elections followed by Jamiat-e-Ulema-Islam Fazl two and one each by Jamaat-e-Islami, ANP and independent. In the eight tehsil council wards election, two seats were clinched by the ANP, one each by the PTI, Jamaat-e-Islami, PPP and Qaumi Watan Party while two seats were grabbed by the independents.
The official notification of the returned candidates would be issued by the Election Commission soon.
