The Punjab Assembly Tuesday passed a resolution for ban on dramatization of crimes and cases on TV channels.
The federal government has been urged to ban such shows. The government and opposition members in the Punjab Assembly floor stood united against the dramatization of crimes shows and related cases and unanimously approved resolution against it.
Ruling party MPA Uzma Bukhari presented this resolution which was opposed by none in the house. The Punjab Assembly sent its recommendation to the federal govt to ban such shows. Members of Punjab Assembly asserted that to glamorise crimes in dramatization, spreading awareness about how-to-do the crimes and presenting criminals as heroes was unethical.
Dramatized programmes are promoting filthy trends in the society, the resolution said. The Punjab assembly asked federal govt to take corrective measures in this context.
Meanwhile, Punjab Assembly passed a resolution for putting a ban on private luxury Hajj operation through tour operators. The resolution also urged the federal government to take over responsibility in line with the decision of the Islamic Ideology Council.
The resolution was tabled by MPA Sheikh Allaudin in the session, in which, it was said that Umrah and Hajj tour operators were miniting money from people in the name of luxury hajj operation.
The assembly passed another resolution, in which, it was demanded that centres should be established at district level for the treatment of hepatitis and provision of medicines and injections free of cost.
