Former Olympian and Pakistan Hockey Federation Director Development and Domestic Naveed Alam and two other persons were injured in an attack here late Saturday night.
Mr Alam was ambushed by gunmen outside Shikhupura stadium. The former Olympian was aboard his car when four gunmen riding two motorbikes tried to intercept him. However the driver did not stop the vehicle, prompting the attackers to open fire.
The gunmen later pulled Alam’s son and his close relative out of the car and thrashed them.
Meanwhile, police have arrested four suspects in this connection
