Chief Minister (CM) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) said on Saturday that they did not restrict the powers of accountability commission in KP. He was talking to media in Peshawar.
According to the details, Pervez Khattak said that he is satisfied with the performance of National Accountability Bureau (NAB) in KP. He said that they only made amendment in the law to prevent unnecessary arrests and after the amendment; no action will be taken against anyone on the basis of an unknown application. Khattak said that one sided actions were delaying the actions against real criminals.
“NAB officials will be answerable to Speaker, Chief Secretary and CM Offices about arrests”, said Pervez Khattak.
Chief minister KP said on Thursday that the western route is not part of China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). He was talking to media after the oath taking ceremony of Peshawar Press Club.
According to the details, Khattak said that it had been clearly said by the Chinese diplomat that the western route is not included in CPEC. He said that they have demanded answer from Ahsan Iqbal about the funding of western route but no reply has come from the other side so far.
CM said that if the federal government does not talk to them honestly then the parliamentary leaders’ committee will make decision. He said that those who have made CPEC controversial are traitors.
Khattak accused centre for not paying KP’s arrears which is causing short fall in budget. He said that they are being provoked to go for another sit-in.
Talking about Accountability Commission, Khattak said that they did not reduce the powers of Director General (DG). He said that a committee will decide about the powers of DG.
