Bid to blow up school foiled, two bombs defused in Bagh

The law enforcement agencies on Saturday foiled a bid to blow up a private school in Qandeel Colony, Bagh district of Azad Kashmir by defusing two home-made bombs which were planted in classrooms.

The two bombs were spotted by students, and law enforcement agencies along with the Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) immediately reached the school. The BDS successfully defused the bomb.

The security forces cordoned off the area, got the school evacuated from the students and carried out a thorough search operation. However, no more bombs were found.

According to police sources, words “TTP Jhalak” (TTP glimpse) were written on the bombs.
