Doctors and paramedical staff on Thursday called off their strike after a successful round of negotiations between the Health Employees’ Coordination Council and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government here.
The announcement to end the strike came as an eight-member committee of doctors put forward their demands during a meeting with KP government officials at the Chief Minister’s (CM) House. The demands of the committee were then accepted.
Show-cause notices and orders for different postings and transfers were also withdrawn by the KP government. A consensus on improvements in Post Graduate Medical Institutes (PGMI) was also reached during the talks.
Good job done by KPK Government to solve the problems amicably in the best interest of their province, rather then firing & killing people unnecessarily.
