Thousands of people on Friday made a chain of human hands on the eve of Kashmir Day in Sialkot to express complete solidarity with the innocent and oppressed people of Occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

Local former MPA Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Sialkot Arshad Mehmood Baggu, Ameer JI Sialkot District Sheikh Attiqur Rehman, Mian Mohsin Gull and others led the chain of human hands in Sialkot’s congested Allama Iqbal Chowk and along various main inter-city roads.

They expressed complete solidarity with the depressed people of the Held Valley and said that the sun of freedom of Kashmir will rise soon and people of Occupied Jammu and Kashmir will soon get freedom from Indian yoke.

In Sialkot, the people observed the Kashmir Day with traditional zeal, enthusiasm and fervour. Almost all the political and religious parties, NGOs and civil society organisations took out the rallies in Sialkot, Daska, Sambrial, Pasrur, Zafarwal, Shakargarh, Narowal and surrounding areas. The participants were carrying the agitational banners and placards and they also chanted anti-India slogans.

Addressing the participants, the local Kashmiri leaders including Dr Zahid Ghani Dar and Muhammad Ejaz Noori asked the world leaders to ensure the early plebiscite in Occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

They said that the durable peace could never be established in Asia without the early peaceful solution to Kashmir issue, saying that the Kashmir dispute had now become a flash point between the two nuclear neighbours.

Dr. Zahid Ghani Dar and Muhammad Ejaz Noori also urged the world to use its complete influence to globally pressurise India for the early peaceful solution to burning Kashmir dispute as per the aspirations of the people of the Held Valley.
