A woman was charred and injured while cooking food within Waris Khan Police jurisdiction.
Tahira, a resident of Committee Chowk, was cooking when suddenly her clothes caught fire and she sustained serious burn injuries. She was rushed to Benazir Bhutto Hospital by her husband Ashiq Hussain where according to doctors her condition was critical.
Meanwhile, a man was killed in a road accident in Kallar Syedan area.
The deceased was identified as Sajid Khan. A dumper coming from Mandra hit him on a road near Rawat Adda and he was fatally injured. He breathed his last on the way to hospital.
The accident occurred due to brake failure, police said. The body was shifted to hospital for medico-legal formalities.
Police have registered a case and started investigation.
