Non-bailable warrants issued for 73 among MQM leaders

An anti-terrorism court (ATC) on Saturday reissued non-bailable warrants for the arrest of 73 Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) leaders and workers including party chief Altaf Hussain in around 10 cases for delivering and listening to a speech criticising the military establishment.

Besides the MQM chief, ATC-I Judge Bashir Ahmed Khoso issued non-bailable arrest warrants for MQM’s mayoral candidate for Karachi Waseem Akhtar, senior party leaders Farooq Sattar, Khawaja Izharul Hassan, Qamar Mansoor, Rehan Hashmi, Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, Rasheed Godil, Kaiful Wara and others and ordered to produce all the accused in the court on February 08.

  1. Not first time Non-bailable arrest warrants have been issued against MQM leaders but none has been arrested so far. It is like mockery with the Judiciary.
