Islamabad High Court (IHC) has issued notices to former president Pervez Musharraf and other leaders of All Pakistan Muslim League (APML) in the Rs 7.5 billion defamation cases and sought reply from them.
A single bench of IHC led by Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani took up for hearing petition filed by Sardar Nasim, chairman Pakistan Freedom Party.
The junior counsel of the petitioner appeared in the court and took the plea that Pervez Musharraf has misused the electoral symbol of Pakistan Freedom Party due to which the credibility of party and its chairman has been hurt.
The court while issuing notice to Musharraf, barrister Saif and Dr Amjid has sought reply from them till 4 March.
