Federation sends request for Rangers’ extension to Sindh govt

The federal government on Thursday sent a request to the Sindh government for an extension of Rangers’ powers.

According to the content of the letter, the special powers allowed to the Rangers will be ending on February 3. The Federal Interior Ministry wrote to the government of Sindh for further extension in the deadline.

The extension in powers has been requested in regards to the Anti-Terrorism Act 1997. The request for the extension has been received by the government of Sindh.
