PFA seals eight food outlets

The Punjab Food Authority (PFA) during its ongoing crackdown against substandard foods sealed eight restaurants and canteens of some hospitals besides arresting seven persons during last two days.

According to PFA officials, these food outlets and shops located in different areas of the city were selling substandard, unhygienic food items, juices etc. Meanwhile, special teams imposed heavy fines on 11 shops and directed to improve conditions.

The raids were conducted by officials of Punjab Food Authority with special teams of different town administrations.

Also, a special task force of PFA raided two flour grinding factories, sealed both and registered FIR against the owner.
