Chairman Sajid Sohail, who belongs to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), tortured a medical officer (MO) of Ghulam Muhammadabad Hospital for refusing to issue a medical report as per his desire.
According to hospital sources, the PTI leader visited the hospital on Sunday night with an injured person and asked the MO for issuing the medical report as per his desire. The MO refused to do so. The enraged PTI office-bearer along with cohorts started beating the MO, who was injured.
Meanwhile, the staff on Monday held a protest demonstration and demanded the Ounjab Chief Minister and authorities concerned to bring the accused to justice. In case their demands were not met, they would launch a province-wide protest campaign, they warned.
