Senior Provincial Minister Nisar Khuhro has apologised for smoking in the Sindh Assembly.
He said he smoked unintentionally after the session concluded. Speaking on the occasion Sindh Assembly Speaker Agha Siraj Durrani said that he had quit smoking three months ago and admitted that smoking in the assembly was immoral.
The minister on Tuesday had openly violated the Sindh Assembly rules by smoking a cigarette and desecrated the sanctity of the House. A TV footage showed Nisar Khuhro lighting a cigarette and smoking it casually while he was surrounded by male and female members of the assembly.
