Federal Minister for Information Senator Pervaiz Rashid said on Tuesday that broadening of tax base and promotion of tax culture was in the interest of the country.
Addressing a reception organised by the All Pakistan Anjuman Tajran on “Traders Volunteers Tax Scheme”, he said promotion of tax culture would not only benefit the present generation but the future generations as well.
Rashid appreciated the leaders of traders’ community for reaching an agreement with the government on a tax system which would not only fetch tax money for the national exchequer, but also provide facilities to the traders.
He said that now the Federal Board of Revenue has become friendly board of revenue and there was no need for the traders to worry.
So, Sir expand it ? Who is hindering ? Most commentators say the FBR is biggest hurdle in the way to expand the tax-base. And this is also a demand of IMF, WB, ADB and all who help us financially.
