Sindh Chief Minister, Syed Qaim Ali Shah on Monday said Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) participated in the local government elections under the existing laws and its winning candidates will get powers accordingly.

The Sindh CM was speaking to a delegation of Karachi Press Club, which, headed by its President Fazil Jamili and comprising Secretary A.H. Khanzada, Vice President, Sajjad Abbasi, Joint Secretary, Rizwan Bhatti, Treasurer, Hanif Akbar and members of governing body called on him at CM House.

The Sindh CM wondered that since the Karachi mayor is yet to be elected, then who the MQM is seeking powers for.

To a question in connection with Rangers’ powers, he said all matters relating to Rangers’ powers now stand fully resolved.

He regretted that the Interior Minister, Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan had promised multiple times to visit Sindh but he did not fulfill them.
