Punjab govt attaches top priority to quality education: ACS

Additional Chief Secretary Shumail Ahmad Khwaja Monday chaired a meeting to review proposals regarding increase in quota for Balochistan students in educational institutes in Punjab.

Addressing the meeting held at Civil Secretariat, the additional chief secretary said that progress and prosperity is not possible without promotion of quality education. He said that acquiring modern education and latest knowledge is the need of the hour.

He said that the Punjab government gives top priority to quality education and for this purpose it has included all federating units in the revolutionary programmes in the field of education such as Educational Endowment Fund, Danish Schools and laptop scheme. This step of the Punjab government has helped promote national solidarity, unity, brotherhood and inter-provincial harmony, he added. He said that increase in quota for Balochistan students would further enhance inter-provincial harmony.

The meeting was attended by Higher Education secretary, secretary Livestock and officers concerned.

  1. Education is not only the problem of countries like Pakistan but also the quality of education they are providing to students in schools. They are lacking so many facilities but have something is better than nothing.
