Provincial Minister for Environment Protection and Population Welfare Zakia Shahnawaz has said that no nation can progress without participation of women.
Talking to representatives of NGOs working for women rights at her office here Monday, she said the Punjab government would ensure that women package 2016 be devised for making women socially independent.
Zakia said women should take benefit of the government measures being taken for their empowerment. The minister said empowerment and education were essential for women due to which they will be economically stable.
