India has announced to install laser wall alongside Indo-Pak border, a private media outfit has reported.
According to Indian media, the Home Ministry has decided to install the laser wall at places where a fence cannot be applied.
A loud siren will go on from the laser wall which will be setup at the river or stream in case any person or thing passes through it.
Indian media has claimed that laser wall has already been put in at six out of 40 points.
Indian authorities have alleged that Pathankot airbase attackers reached their country after crossing River Uj from Bamiyal. However; their arrival went unnoticed as no protective fence was present there.
Any bird flying intersecting the beam will trigger the alarm, any stray objects like leaves in autumn, heavy snow or dust storm will also trigger the alarm. Terrorists can easily destroy the transmitter and receiver with a bullet fired from a silencer fitted high velocity rifle with a telescopic sight.
