Govt colleges to run under private-public partnership in Pindi

Decision has been taken to run government colleges under private-public partnership in Rawalpindi.

Initially four boys colleges and one girls college with annual results ranging between 20 and 25 percent and where the strength of students runs below 100 will be run under this scheme in Rawalpindi.

Sources said that Punjab government after having achieved success in introducing private-public partnership scheme at primary, middle, high schools and higher secondary schools level has now decided to launch this scheme at college level throughout Punjab so that quality education could be provided to the students. List of the colleges is being sought from directorate of colleges in this regard.

Director colleges Humayun Iqbal said no such orders have been received that any decision has been taken to run government colleges under private-public partnership.
