Saudi Arabia’s Deputy Crown Prince and Defence Minister, Mohammed bin Salman will visit Islamabad tomorrow (Sunday).
According to reports, Saudi Defence Minister will discuss military alliance of 34 Islamic countries along with bilateral relations and the operation against terrorism. The Saudi Minister will meet with Pakistan’s political leadership and military officials.
The visits of Saudi ministers come at a time when the Kingdom is engaged in diplomatic row with Iran after its embassy was ransacked in Tehran following execution of Sheikh Nimr al-Nimr.
Earlier Saudi Foreign Minister Adel Bin Ahmed al Jubeir visited Pakistan on Thursday and held meetings with Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, Army Chief General Raheel Sharif and Foreign Advisor Sartaj Aziz.
The appointment of this young man in a country engaged in war, internal security problem and deteriorating finances, itself is questionable. If not a prince, nothing else qualifies him to be a Defence Minister. Wish him good luck.
