Three persons of a family, including a woman and her two children, were killed and another sustained serious injuries in a road accident on Friday.
Police said Muhammad Babar, a resident of Chak Mundeki, along with his wife Farzana and two children – three-year-old Kamran and two-year-old Noman, was going towards Bamabala, a suburb area of Renalakhurd, on a motorcycle when a speeding trailer coming from rear side hit the two-wheeler near Gehlan railways crossing.
As a result, Farzana, Kamran and Noman died on the spot while Muhammad Babar received serious injuries. The injured was shifted to THQ Hospital Pattoki while the trailer driver fled from the scene.
Police have taken the trailer into custody and started investigation.
