Islamabad – Our Boxing Mullahs Correspondent: Legendary Philippine boxer Manny Pacquiao has agreed to be the referee in the upcoming rematch between Tahir Ashrafi and Muhammad Khan Sherani.
“It is indeed humbling that I start my post-retirement career with refereeing such spirited fighters,” said Pacquiao, speaking to reporters at a press conference in Manilla.
London bookies have already started collecting bets on the fight, expected to take place sometime early March. A record broadcast audience is expected to watch the match. This is not to forget the live audience, as the rematch is going to take place at the Liaquat Complex instead of the CII building.
Muhammad Khan Sherani refused to comment on the issue, though Ashrafi insisted we take his version. “I’m going-g to show him… I’m g-going to s-show him-m what I’m-m made off-f. Youuu jusst wait-t and seeee.”
