FIA arrests four human traffickers

The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) here Friday arrested four alleged human traffickers from Peshawar City and recovered illegal emigration documents from their possession.

During special campaign against human traffickers launched under the directions of Federal Minister for Interior, the FIA Anti Human Trafficking Circle Peshawar has arrested four alleged human traffickers namely Fida Hussain, Muhammad Ishaq, Iftikharul Haq and Abdi Ali from Peshawar City and recovered several passports, forms, air tickets, CNICs and illegal emigration documents from their possession.

Officials’ sources told APP that the accused were involved in sending people through unfrequented routes, resulting in the death of people on routes to Europe via Iran, Turkey, Greece etc and registered cases against them.

Moreover, a proclaimed offender Muhtram Shah was arrested from Takhtbai Mardan. The accused was wanted in a case registered against him under human trafficking ordinance, the official’s sources concluded.
