Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has said that supremacy of the constitution and following it in letter and spirit is the only guarantee for peace, prosperity and development in the country.
In a statement issued on Thursday, Bilawal Bhutto greeted New Year to the countrymen and expressed the hope that 2016 will be year of peace, prosperity and resolution of problems faced by country and its people.
He said that implementation of the constitution was the only guarantee for unity among the federation, provinces and masses.
The PPP chairman alleged that fake policies of the rulers during previous year resulted in economic instability and chaos in the country but he hoped that the past mistakes would not be repeated in 2016.
He said extremists and militants rendered irreparable losses to country and security forces during the past two decades and stressed to root out the menaces through joint efforts. Bilawal urged all political, religious parties and countrymen to put aside the political, personal differences and start the New Year with pledge to spare no efforts to steer the country out of the prevailing crises working for restoration of peace and economic stability.
