Special team of district administration conducted raids on famous food outlets including Haleem Ghar, Silver Draggon Chinese Restaurant, Daewoo Bus Terminal cafeteria, Tuck Shop and Seven-Eleven, sealing them for unhygienic conditions and expired food items.
The team headed by ADC, Irshad Sodher and comprising of Assistant Director, Said Badshah, Additional Assistant Commissioners (AACs), Imran Khan and Ahmad Kamal visited Silver Draggon on University Road, Haleem Ghar on G.T. Road, cafeteria and tuck shop at Daewoo Bus Terminal.
The unhygienic conditions contained underweight roti, profiteers and presence of expired food items.
Talking to media, ADC Irshad Sodher said that checking of all food shops in Peshawar will continue and no leniency will be shown.
Only sealing the outlets is not enough. Go a little further and ensure that they don't operate again without paying heavy fines because the businesses in Pakistan are part of the Rich Mafia of the country who do NOT pay taxes.
