Sindh CM arrives in Islamabad to meet PM

Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah arrived in Islamabad on Tuesday evening where he is set to have a meeting with Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Wednesday.

Sources said that Shah will discuss with Prime Minister Nawaz the reservations of the Sindh government on matters relating to Rangers, Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) and National Accountability Bureau (NAB).

Before leaving for Islamabad, the Sindh Chief Minister summoned senior provincial ministers, including Murad Ali Shah, Nisar Khuhro, Sikandar Mendhro, Information Advisor Maula Bakhsh Chandio, Adviser on Law Murtaza Wahab and others for consultations.

The consultations focused on the powers of Sindh Rangers, FIA and NAB besides dues of Rs 9 billion allegedly owed by the Centre, demands of Sindh police and provincial governments’ reservations.
