A woman and her two daughters were killed and three family members injured in a gas leakage explosion at a house in Gulrez Phase-III on Thursday.
The incident took place at a house near Margalla Dental College when a gas heater exploded during cooking, rescue team said. The husband and two sons were left injured.
The police, rescue teams and natives of the area rushed the injured to Benazir Bhutto Hospital, where doctors said that injured were in critical condition.
According to police, the blast was so intense that windowpanes of nearby buildings were also broken. The identity of the victims could not be ascertained immediately.
