Three people of the same family including a woman and two children were killed on Thursday when a power cable fell on a house in Basti Sabu near Bangla Acha area of Rahim Yar Khan.
According to details, the incident occurred in the house of a resident Rasool Baksh and claimed the lives of his 75-year-old mother Azeema Mai, his 11-year-old son Shakeel and eight-year-old daughter Jameela.
Rasool Baksh and his wife were out for work at the time of the incident.
All the equipment in the house burnt to ashes including the cattle which consisted of 10 buffaloes and four goats.
Police reached the scene and initiated an inquiry into the incident.
