These powerful seeds are an amazing source of protein, omega 3 fatty acids and important minerals. They are best taken when soaked in water overnight.

  1. Carrots

This root vegetable contains high amounts of beta carotene which the body converts into Vitamin A — a key nutrient in immune function, helping protect against infections and reduce risks and duration of respiratory illnesses by keeping our lungs healthy. It also helps keep your skin from ageing.

  1. Garlic

It has been used for thousands of years to treatment illnesses and diseases. Its compound, allicin, has potent medicinal properties which helps combat sickness, cold and cough.

  1. Fennel

This licorice-tasting winter vegetable offers more than just a unique tang. Fennel is low in calories yet high in phytonutrient anethole, which may help boost immune response.

Packed with beneficial phytochemicals and antioxidants, beetroot protects the immune system by fighting off destructive free radicals, which harm healthy cells and their DNA.
