Federal Information Minister Pervaiz Rashid on Monday said that threatening people is an old habit for Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan.

He alleged that Khan has warned people of Mianwali, and asked for land to build a house for his children. Imran Khan should give his Bani Gala residence to the Mianwali people in return for their land, the minister said.

To a question, Pervaiz Rashid said that the government is making all out efforts for the development of the country. He that said today no one is allowed to create hurdles for anyone trying to seek education.

He said today’s Pakistan is close to the dreams that Quaid-e-Azam had about Pakistan. He added that Quaid-e-Azam was an enlightened personality. He said that the country’s problems are a result of dictatorship. He said today no one is allowed to create hurdles for anyone to seek education. He said we want to promote friendly ties with neighbouring countries.

He said that the groundbreaking ceremony of the TAPI project is a part of efforts for increased connectivity and sharing with neighbouring countries. To a question, he said that now even Imran Khan is praising the government’s efforts for operation Zarb-e-Azb.

He said that the law and order is improving day by day. Earlier, he inaugurated a three-day photo and painting exhibition to mark Quaid-e-Azam’s anniversary.

Responding to Pervaiz Rashid’s remarks, PTI spokesperson Naeemul Haq said that Pervaiz Rashid has made fun of a model educational institution like Namal.

The minister has twisted the PTI chief’s statement, which is regrettable, he added.

Naeemul Haq further said that basic aim of acquiring land in Namal is to promote educational activities in the area.
