Rangers DG discusses law and order with governor

Rangers Director General (DG) Major General Bilal Akbar called on Sindh Governor Dr Ishrat-ul-Ebad in Karachi on Thursday to discuss key issues regarding security of the largest metropolis and financial capital of the country.

During the meeting, the Rangers DG and the governor discussed law and order situation in Karachi and efforts were being made to purge criminals from the city. The security plan for Rabi Al-Awwal processions was also discussed during the meeting. The Rangers DG said that it would be their priority to maintain religious harmony and keep law and order situation under control during the Eid Milad celebrations.

Earlier, Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah had said that people wanted to do politics in the name of Rangers to score points to their benefits, adding that his government won’t let that happen.

The CM said it was strange that the matter of Rangers was being exploited. He said Rangers were with the Sindh government and will remain so. He said Rangers had done excellent job along with the police and it had achieved a lot to establish peace.
