The enthusiasm and zeal of voters to exercises their right to franchise during local body elections can be adjudged with the fact that even an elderly woman of 103 years and a man of 101 year, did poll their votes.
A woman aged 103 years reached the polling station in UC- 40 on wheelchair while 101-year-old man Ghulam Abbas, along with his son, arrived at the polling station of UC-32 to exercise their right.
The elderly expressed views that it is their moral obligation to elect eligible and competent people as their representatives to put the country on track of prosperity and progress.
Polling is underway in Rawalpindi District that will conclude at 5:30 pm.
