At least 13 slaughters houses were sealed over violation of ban on slaughtering of female animals and 16 goats were recovered.
The Punjab Food Authority and Livestock Department team conducted joint raids at illegal slaughter houses in Manga Mandi locality of Lahore district.
During crackdowns, the PFA authorities sealed 13 slaughterhouses for alleged involvement in violating the ban reinvigorated by the Punjab government on slaughtering of female animals.
The raiding team also recovered 16 sick and weak goats from the slaughtershouses which were taken into custody.
The police have registered cases against the owners.
