Rangers kill three terrorists in Lyari shootout

Three terrorists were killed in a shootout with Rangers in Lyari Town on Thursday, the paramilitary spokesperson said.

According to him, a raid was carried out, on a tip-off, in Gul Muhammad Lane area, where a trade of fire took place between a Rangers team and terrorists.

“The shootout took place overnight in which one paratrooper was also wounded,” the spokesperson said.

The paratroopers immediately cordoned off the area and gunned the miscreants down. The injured Rangers official was shifted to a hospital.

According to the Rangers spokesman, modern weapons were seized from the terrorists, whose bodies were later shifted to a police station for identification.

Three apprehended: At least three operatives of a defunct outfit were apprehended by the paramilitary Rangers in separate raids on Thursday. According to a spokesperson for the Rangers, the paramilitary troops carried out the raids on Gulberg and Lyari areas, rounding up three terrorists. Weapons were also seized during the raids. The detained terrorists have been shifted to an undisclosed location for further interrogation.
